What’s up guys? Snazzy iPhone Hacker here, and today I have an app review for you guys. This is a really great game called Doodle Jump. It is $0.99 from the app store in iTunes and it is Lima Sky I believe, alright. It is 3.6 megabytes, that’s not a big file at all and it’s up to Version 1.2.1, so that’s all the background information on this game.
And seriously guys, this small game has the biggest replay value out of all my games I think personally because this is truly one of the most addicting games I own. I own Need for Speed, all these other games, right? This game gets it done when it comes to addictiveness. If you don’t wanted to be addicted and lose five hours of your life, do not download this game, but I really recommend it.
So when you click on Doodle Jump, you get greeted by this handcrafted looking screen, loading screen, you have this little dude jumping here. You have four options which is Options, Scores, Challenge and Play, click on options for more options where you can decide whether you want score markers off, only global, only local or both which that will show you how on the right side, there will have a little line every time you pass someone score, if it’s on local, they will show only your highest score or maybe someone else that has played it with your iPhone or iPod Touch. With Global, you will see like everyone’s which is crazy, or not everyone, but which is like a randomized amount of people.
Then you have Global Leader Board Score submission, automatic I have it on, so that way every time I get a highest score, it automatically goes to the Global Leader Board. Sounds, you can have it on and off. You guys can see, there is no background music right now, because I haven’t had my sound on, but this dude, whenever he hits on that green thing, you will hear sounds, really nice sound effects. You can also have directional shooting which I like to have on. And yes, this little fellow right here, he does shoot guys. It’s not a violent game. It’s rated 4+, I mean come on, but he does shoot the little monster like those little paramecium type of things. Alright, so you can also connect to Facebook.
But what the directional does, click on the right, it will shoot to the right. The left, it will shoot to the left. And he’ll shoot also to the top if your head is straight up. Back to the main menu, if you have scores, you guys can see my highest score is 16,330 and I thought it’s pretty darn good. And so, I clicked on MyFriends. Friends is if you want to connect to Facebook so you can see the highest scores there. But if you are on a Global, look at that guys, this guy Matty has 259,039 points in this game. He must have playing it for like five hours, I mean that is ridiculous. That is truly ridiculous. I mean, won’t be able to make it to the Top 100, I will be able to make it into the Top 1000 probably, this is ridiculous.
Back to the menu, when you press Challenge, I’m not going to do it because it takes you to your email and you can have this great email where is shows you highest score and tell you to beat that, and it also shows, it tells them to buy it now. And all that great stuff, good advertisement for Doodle Jump, 20% Battery—nice. All right, so basically, this annoying little beeping noise, pooping noise or whatever, it’s him docks in the green part. The objective of this game is get as high as you can, keep jumping, keep hitting everything, avoid the space ships, the holes, and those little alien bugs by shooting at them and avoiding them. This has great sue of the accelerometer which I will show you right now. I’ll press play, goes to left, keep going, do you guys can see. I f I had a spring, it bounces higher, alright. So basically you guys can see the scores that I just passed by. I mean I passed someone in the world, globally which is pretty cool. Those brown things, they break so, so stay away from those. You can go off the screen and still make it. All right, but when you die, you die.
So basically, right here it says game over, your score, your highest score and your name. You can go submit score to Facebook, menu or play again. Now, what I’m going to show you guys is I’m going to try to do my best to get to the high level where you actually fight people, so please just watch my game play, maybe you can learn something. If you look closely to the right, you can see that I passed some other kids, the blue on is myself, and those red lines are other people. Alright, so you want to stay away from the brown bar because they do break. There are also bars that move on you. So you want top be careful on both of those. If you think I suck right now it’s because I’m playing through the screen of my camera. Do you guys hear that? You have to avoid that guy. I just avoided that guy, I just barely made it. But you guys saw that right?
Dudes do come flying at you. Rewind it if you missed it but they do come flying at you, so you do want to do this right here. You do want to shoot. One little cheat that I kind of found, it’s not really a cheat but let’s juts say I dies real quick, I’m just leaning to the side. Yeah, so basically if you just lean like this for like the first couple of levels, you can just make it like the first thousand points just by doing this. But yeah, that’s pretty much it.
This game is going to get 4.5 out of 5, I gave it 4.5 only because—you know what, I think I’m going to give this game a 5 because it’s truly is addicting, if your other friends has this game, you can go to the menu and be like, “Ready, set, play.” And you hit play at the same time you guys can see who gets higher first. There is no WiFi connectivity. You can verse other people but you can’t see other people’s scores. And this game has a great replay value as it is seriously one of the most addicting games in the iStore. Sound effects are really cool too. I’m going to give this a 5, you know. I really like it a lot and for the price of $0.99, it’s a sure buy. You definitely want to buy it.
