Do's and Don'ts of Home Lighting
Tacky House
Kelly Edwards
Hi I’m Kelly Edwards and I’m here at this awesome lighting store practical props and
I’m going to show you how to— on the tacky. Now we’re going to talk about lighting
today. Now I always say that lighting is the most important part of design because it
generally makes the whole design. Now let’s talk about bad lighting too.
Look at this table lamp, the goddesses need to stay in the museum and out of your house
so keep in mind any table lamp that has people, has landscapes or has things like that you
don’t want them on your table. Now look at this lamp right here. Now this looks like
something that was made in boy scouts anything that’s made out of popsicle sticks and a
little decoupage no way keep it in the craft shop and not on your table.
And there’s a few other pieces around here, some are cool, some are not so cool but talk
about tacky look at this piece. Now this is the crème dela crème in this lighting store.
Now I saw this when I walked in a cactus with seals or coyotes, I don’t know but doesn’t
kneed to go in your house.
Now let’s talk about good lighting for 2 seconds as well. This table lamp it’s kind of a
gourd shape classic white lamp perfect for any table, you can even pair it with actually
something that’s a little bit darker so even a black lamp shade will look good on it. Or
this chrome piece, this is also a staple in any house because as your design changes your
lighting can always stay the same.
Now this is the way to get the—on the tacky.
