Dramatic Green and Purple Look

Everybody, today I’m going to be doing a very bright look using some pigment eye shadows from Glamour Doll eyes. I heard a lot about that company on YouTube and then she actually contacted me and gave me the chance to try out some of her eye shadows so this look is sing three of them. There are at least three right here which you’ll see each one in action in this tutorial. They are Olivia Green, Glam Girl and Shamrock which let me say right now is the star of the show. It is my favorite green eye shadow-pigment anything I’ve ever had. This is beautiful. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on the specific green in the few times that I have worn it— it oh my God. It like I was looking actually in the mirror trying to figure out what’s so special about it and it like glows from within; it’s just beautiful I love it. This is the look that I’m going to do. I know some of you are going to hate it because it is very over in the top. It’s slightly obnoxious but just because of the colors that I picked out and the whole essence of the line the Glamour Doll eyes thing, I really felt like a dramatic vibe and wanted to do something slightly different. I’ve got a purple line type thing going on. The greens are very bright that’s a fun look with that being said, I honestly really did enjoy these pigments, they are just as good as any other brother pigments I have ever used. So if you like to see how to do this look keep on watching. My neutral colored base is on, my eyebrow is on and in this look I’m going to start with the crease color that is going to be Olivia Green, which is a matte green color. It’s gorgeous and it’s like nothing else that I have and I’m going to apply that with my MAC 217 brush. If I were doing this look to go out and not just for a tutorial, I’m going to warn you right now you should aim and not have your face done firs and be put a quote of translucent powder down here and on to your chick because with this matte color and this is true for all matte pigments, it’s not specific to this brand. The fallout is kind of crazy and it stains your face a little bit so matte pigments are always tricky but if you can get them to work right there, absolutely stunning. So I’m going to take this, I’m going to go right into my crease, right above where the line of my crease actually is and I’m going to go back and forth in an arc like this. And you don’t want to press too hard because it will blend better and apply evenly if you do not press to hard. And you want to have something like that. We’re going to move down to my lid and what I’m going to use is the one that I said is my new favorite green eye shadow it’s called Shamrock. It looks like that. It’s not focusing. I’m going to apply that with my MAC 239 brush that I always do my lid with and before I pick it up from the jar I’m going to spray with Fix Plus water mixing medium. Not because this color needs any help with intensity because it certainly does not but because pigments apply better wet you’ll get less fallout. I didn’t apply the matte color wet because that sometimes makes it more tricky and less blendable just because matte colors are so intense. And now this is just going to go on my lid. I do what I mean about this color when I site it just like glows from within— Oh it’s so gorgeous it’s almost. Now for the dramatic fun and somewhat tricky could possibly go badly part of this look. It’s been hit or miss for me each time I’ve done this look which has been about three times. Hopefully now I’ve gotten it descent enough that I can come out low on this tutorial. Here’s hoping. What I’m doing essentially is putting a thin purple line above the dark green and then when I get to hear angularly extending I down to the corner with a diagonal and then to go into my bottom liner. So to really get this line precise and trace out what your going to do I suggest using a purple eyeliner pencil to trace it out. This is Urban Decay 24/7 liner in lust. First thing I’m going to do is draw a diagonal line from the corner of my eye right on fro the greens, I’m going to pull again it’s straighter. Don’t worry about how neat it is, this is kind of just a guideline neither would be better but what are you going to do and I’m going to just go draw a line— not to thick right above the darker line and as I go in closer to my nose I am going to try to bring it down a little bit lower. You want something like this. You can bring it all the way in and if you like I found out 06:32 way too dramatic and I apologize if this doesn’t look exactly what it looks like in the photo you saw at the beginning only because each time you do this I comes out slightly different. It’s a work of art you know. So then I’m going to take— so then I’m going to take my third eye shadow color from Glamour Doll Eyes, which is called Glam Girl and it looks like this. It is basically it’s exactly the same color as MAC violet pigment except way more affordable so you might want to look into this. I’m going to take a thin angled liner brush. This is from— this is Loew Cornell brush from Michaels and its like the same as the MAC 266 brush. I’m going to wet, I’m going to wet that with my fix plus mixing medium or water and you really want to wet this because you want to get precise line with it. Then I’m going to pick up the Glam Girl purple pigment and I’m going to go over that whole line and this is gorgeous. This is such a prettier purple than that urban decay. Pencil was at so much little look. You can see that and do that part. This part came out messy this time. I apologize, I’m sure 80% interview are a better artist than I am so yeah now I just love when I go like this how you can see the light green, the dark green and then the purple line above it. I loved the art of color transition in my photo that you say. That’s to do the next part with a pencil brush like a 219. I unfortunately don’t have a pencil brush so I’m going to take a stiff small eye shadow brush, this is a Sonia Kashuk one and I’m going to try to kind of blur the top edge of this purple line. Just so it will maybe blend better to our highlight but honestly it stays pretty harsh and that’s okay. I’m just going to try to blend it up and out and blur it a little bit. Ideally you want the bottom of the line where it’s meeting the green to be really sharp and on the top of the line to be blurred. I’m going to move in to highlight colors and I foolishly did not pick any highlight colors from Glamour Doll Eyes. So I’m just going to use a different brand for this. First I’m going to use MAC Beautiful Iris a light almost translucent purple is going to go right above the purple line I’m going to put that on my Posh highlighting brush and I’m going to put that right above where we blurred the line but not all the way up to the brow and you want to touch the part where you blurred the line but don’t touch underneath it because like I said you want the bottom part of the purple line to be sharp. And only above that for the true highlight color I’m going to use MAC pink OPAL pigment and I’m using it wet to get the maximum machine out of it and that’s going to go tipity top under the brow bone and above where you put the beautiful iris eye shadow. Now with this look I’m going to recommend that you either use the scotch tape method right here to clean up his line or again I’m going to recommend that you do this look for many reasons do the eye before you do your face make up because now if I were to go into my face make up I could literally use my foundation or concealer brush and like paint myself a line there and like a line there to make this a cleaner edge. First of all I’m just going to align my bottom water line with black eye cool and then on the bottom lash line I’m going to put down the black pencil for a base and then over that is going to go the same purple pigment the Glam Girl. I’m going to use the same angles liner brush and again I’m going to use it wet. I’m just going to press that over the black pencil that went down on the lash line. And you can kind of redefine the extension up to the purple line. I’m just going to line my top lash line with Blacktrack fluid line and apply my false lashes.
