Drawing Cartoon Animals

Hi, I’m Danny Green. I’m an illustrator, a cartoonist, and a teacher here at The Guilded Page in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today we’re gonna learn how to draw some animals. I’ll show you the basics of how to draw cartoon dog, a cartoon cat, a cartoon giraffe, a cartoon lion, a cartoon horse and a cartoon monkey. The only tools you’ll need are paper, pencil, a brush pen filled with ink, some pastels, and a paper stomp. Before we begin today, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. I studied art at Cal State Long Beach, and at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. I’ve done video game graphics and movie story boards as well as children’s books and comic books. So, why won't we grab our materials today and we’ll head on back to the class room and I’ll teach you how to draw cartoon dog.
