Dr. Travis Stork: And right now we actually have Letti joining us in our audience who has a question I think it applies a lot of folks.
Letti: I do. I can see great at day and night but when it begins to get dark things get cloudy kind of fuzzy I should say.
Dr. Travis Stork: There’s a reason for that and we actually brought a specialist up the most Dr. Gregg Feinerman is sitting right next to you because this is not uncommon.
Dr. Gregg Feinerman: No, this is a common issue. The eye is like a camera. Light travels through the eye and is focused to the back of the eye by the lens and it’s focused on to the retina. And the retina is composed of rods, for night vision and cones for day vision. So there is no really great retinal cell for the in-between so they both contribute but they don’t contribute it at a 100%. So we all have a little bit of trouble at dusk or at twilight.
Dr. Travis Stork: I want you to take a look because we have a representation of what is like in the daytime and everything is pretty dug on crisp and clear and then I want to get straight to the night photo and things again they’re pretty clear obviously not as clear as daylight. But let’s look at dusk and everything is a little bit fuzzy.
Dr. Jim Sears: It’s almost like your eyes haven’t switched over to night vision yet, they’re kind of in-between.
Dr. Gregg Feinerman: Most people wouldn’t really complain that they can’t see at dusk specifically unless they have something more going on. And there are other things they can be going on and you should see eye MD every year to get that checked out.
Dr. Drew Ordon: So Letti, when was the last time you saw an eye doctor?
Letti: Long time.
