Ear Bud Safety Tips

The buzz that go in the ear canal typically are one-size-fits-all. And as we all know, we’re all different sizes.

So, if your ear bud tends to not stay in well, we’re finding that people are turning up the volume on their iPod to accommodate or account for the fact that the ear bud isn’t fitting. What’s happening is they are maxing out the volume on their iPod and actually creating a noise level that is damaging to their hearing. Noise levels in excessive what we would recommend for an average daily listening.

So, what I would recommend is, if you can visit an audiologist who is capable of making a costumed ear mold impression. You can get a costumed ear piece to fit over your iPod ear bud. And what that will do is fit you perfectly so you can jog, walk, whatever it is you need to do while you're listening to your iPod. And that will keep the volume of your iPod down because the ear bud will be staying put. It won’t be slipping out so that you don’t need to pump up the volume so to speak.
