Hello! I'm Moe Harris and today I’m at the locker room in Warrenton, Virginia showing you some flair bartending techniques that hopefully you’re going to be able to apply behind your bar.
I’m going to show you one more bottle trick that’s really—is probably one of them were simple tricks but definitely one of the most effective tricks in terms of amazing your customers. All it’s going to do is do one little flip into a pour. And this one trick you’re going to see, you going to be able to utilize so much. If I hold this bottle, just grab it by its normal grip. And I kind of flip towards the outside like I did here except in studies and that much energy. One, I’m just going to go straight up and down but its only going to do a half revolution.
So it’s going to start with this push bottle up and end with the pour spout facing down. I’m going to let it go this time even though the liquids are going to come out and that’s it. It’s going to be a flip into a pour. It’s just—now one thing to notice that, when I complete this trick, I’m not going out. I’m not grabbing things and not reaching for things. Once, I throw this thing, its going to go upside down. All its going to do is fall naturally into my hand, it’s just like this. That’s the first step and that’s a trick in itself just pouring just like that.
The second step that’s going to make this thing a little bit nicer when we combine it with the tin trick is doing the same exact trick except putting a little bit of motion into it. Instead of going straight up and down like I’ve been doing right there, you can go straight up and down and then just travel with it. So straight up and down, travel with it. Once you feel really comfortable is going straight up and down and then traveling it, actually put the motion not just into your hands but into the bottle itself. So it’s going to go. You’ll notice I'm actually going to stop halfway through. That is the same trick. It’s a same one revolution except now, the bottle in my hand are traveling and instead of just ending in a pour, I'm actually going to continue my arm in a circular motion so that I'm back with the pour spout facing up.
So, here’s the original pour. Here is with a little movement okay. One more time, straight up and down with a little more movement. Now watch how we combine the bottle tricks with the tin tricks to put on a show.
