If you're the kind of person who likes to take vacations, but doesn’t necessarily have a destination in mind then check airfarewatchdog.com. Here, you can simply enter in either a departure or arrival city, so I’ll do departing from San Francisco and then click on see today’s fares. These are airfare prices to various locations departing from San Francisco. If you're looking for the lowest price then you can click on sort by price. And now, I can see that I can get plane tickets to Los Angeles for $98.00 round trip, to San Diego for the same and Seattle as well. If you’ve never been to one of these places and need a vacation then this is a great tool to find the lowest prices. Scrolling down shows even more really great prices. If there is a red asterisk next to a price listing then that means that this fares are unadvertised and they're probably time sensitive. Click on a flight that you're interested in. Look at all of the details like when the fare was last updated. More details, the airlines involved, seat availability and so on. Then you can continue on to see if there are any flights available for the dates that you want to travel. There are other tools to check out here as well like the top 50 fares, the fare of the day and fares to international destinations.
