Welcome to this episode of Body Performance. I am Steve Turano. A lot of people are still asking how can I have a diet that is higher in fat and have my body still loss weight. Well here we go, let me explain it to you. Let us say you have a thousand calorie day diet and it is all fat. You would not need that, it would not taste very good, but let us say it is. You ear a thousand calories a day of fat and you panic about that fat going to right to you hips. But, let us say you burn out 2500 calories at the end of the day. So, you essentially create a 1500 calorie a day deficit.
Now, here is the key, when you create a calorie deficit it does not matter what you eat. Let us say a thousand calories is metabolized in stuff right on your hips or your stomach or your rear end. But, now you burned up 2500 calories. Where is that 2500 calories coming from it is coming from your rear end, your hips and your stomach. It is coming from store energy. Again, we have a thousand coming in we have 2500 going out. So, we do not care if we add a thousand calories to our hips as long as we take 2500 off so it does not matter what you eat when you are on a diet as long as you create a calorie deficit.
If you gave me $ 500 and I give you a $1000 you would not care. If you give me $ 500 in nickels and I give you a $1000 you would not care. If you gave me a $500 TV set and I give you a $1000 you would not care as long as there is a discrepancy there. You give me $500 I give you $100 back you are upset. Same thing with calories so it does not matter what you eat when you are on a diet as long as you are creating that calorie deficit. If that deficit occurs you loss body as a replacements source of food. Love your body, I will see you next time.
