Today I want to talk about the stimulating aspects of food. Food is very stimulating, when you put it in your mouth and it touches your tongue, you get an immediate response. You can taste it, so it is very stimulating. It is also very satisfying. The mass satisfaction unfortunately leads to a feeling of comfort. So now people associate food with comfort, stimulation, satisfaction and comfort.
Now unfortunately, we got to pull away from food as a feeling of comfort and substitute it with something else. I am not a Doctor although I had played it once or twice. I am not sure how we substitute food for something else. I know people who clean their homes, when their homes are clean they feel satisfied and they feel comfortable. I rather make out with somebody, it is stimulating, it is satisfying, and it is quite comforting, and depending who you are kissing. But you have to understand that that stimulation in association with food is not good.
So when you pick up that next piece of food, ask yourself, “Am I eating this because I am bored and I simply need stimulation or am I really hungry?” If you are picking it up and sticking it in your mouth because you need stimulation, try to find that stimulation, satisfaction and comfort somewhere else.
