Very, very simple just record your video, needs that two things on it, if you get on the show. Number one, you have to say your teams name. We are the Bat Busters we are the Tomboys, whatever the name your team is. Second thing is it has to say we love the Fastpitch TV show, that's it.

On today's show we are going to talk about drop weights on bats. For you all timers you are going to know what I am talking about already. This is for people who are more new this. I have lot of people come to the store saying I want to buy a bat and I'll I want to buy this stuff bat or whatever bat they want to buy. I want to buy synergy bat and I'll said you want to drop 10 or drop 9, I don't know what you are talking about, but actually tell me, they did not know, what I am talking about, so I am going to educate you as to what a drop 10, drop 9 or something called negative 10 negative 9 means, all fast pitch bats come in weight lightness I guess you should say, anywhere from negative 13 to negative 8 you are showing, drop 13 and drop 8 this is same term, okay.
We still don't know what that means, well, we are going to use cover that now, drop weight is difference between the bat's length, and a bat's weight, okay, now this bat is a 34 inch bat, okay, 34 inches from tip to tip, and it weight 24 ounces when I set it on a scal e that's a drop 10. Take 34 is a track 24 yet ten, drop 10 or negative 10, those are 34 length weight 25 ounces, it drop 9. So you may ask me what is the purpose of knowing it's this drop 10 or drop 9 drop 8 or drop 12. The main thing this means is the lightness of the bat, it proportion to the length.
Now, if you are some one going to see a young boy or doesn't have a lot of bat speed, you are going to want this much speed you can lighter your bat, the faster your bat speed us so you may want to go with drop 12, drop 13, drop 11. Now let's say you have got plenty of bat speed, your seasoned player, you got strength, your bang in a fence, you know what? Something behind the bat some weight behind it, when you hit the ball, see you are going to go with drop 8 drop 9 drop 10. You can go with the heavier bats for now, the lower the number means the heavier the bat is in proportion to the length and weight ratio.
So, moreover 34 inches is drive 24 inches is a drop 10, 34 is tract 22 is drop 12, okay, the lighter bat, now the fast pitch bat. Now when fast pitch bats they are different in lengths of bats 34, 33, 32, 31, 30, 29, 28. That's why you use drop system, in slow pitch bats for instance all slow pitch bats are 34 inches so since all of the bats are 34 inches, they don't worry about the drop weight they just have one a 30 ounce bat. I want 28 ounce bat, I want 26 ounce bat, but in fast pitch because there are different lengths, the drop may comes more into play. As to what you want, which bat you want to use okay.
I hope that taught you little bit of how drop weight works, and I hope that may be makes it easier, next time when you need to buy some softball bats or softball bats that helps little bit of that I want to thank you for watching this show.
