Epson Artisan 810 All-In-One Printer Review
Hello I’m Alfred Poor and welcome to my company sponsored video report on the Artisan 810 all in one printer from Epson.
These days, most people want to buy a device that’s versatile. You can do a lot different things with them. For example, just think of all the different things you expect from your cell phone. Well, the Artisan 810 can do just about anything you want to do with paper around your home. It’s optimized for photography and makes great prints but it does so much more than that.
It also scans, copies, sends and receives fax, it can even print on the CD or DVD, it even is easy to connect to your home network. Most all in one printers look like a office machines but the slick black design of Artisan 810 fits in a lot better in a home setting. You can open up the paper tray that holds 8.5x11 paper as well as 4x6 or 5x7 photo papers to print photographs.
You can also open the top to reveal an automatic document fitter for the scanning and fax functions. Its easy to setup the printer well at least you have to take all packing tape out it needed six separate ink cartages in addition to this standards sign the magenta yellow and black it also has a light cyan and a light magenta for better photo quality.
The control panel is cool the middle third is a 3.5- inch diagonal LCD panel now you can use that for previewing photos but it does much more its actually also a touch screen and different menu bottoms all appear depending context them what your trying to do at the time so it makes easy to navigate to so very sophisticated functions not only does it copy and print and scan but it also does some other things all without a computer for example you can take a photograph and turn it to coloring book page or you can print graph paper straight from the printer .
The remainder of the control panel has back lit touched sensitive points but they only light up depending on what the functions is which one is available so this helps remove a lot of clutter and whole a lot easier to use than a control panel that covers with dozens of buttons the printer also comes with some useful software. Artsan Soft print creations let you create projects like greeting cards or photo calendars.
And presto page manager helps you organize the documents that you scan it can even read the pages that you scan and turn them into text files that you can then edit or copy into other documents. The Artisan 810 has slots for memory cards and USB Sticks so you can just put the memory device right in to the printer and print directly from there with even using a computer but one clever feature is you can also have it print out a context sheet of all the images that are on the card and then just check off the one you want, put in the scanner and press the bottom and all print just those photographs.
You can also preview a video clip on here and you can choose which frames you want to select to print a still photos, if you have a home network its very easy to set up. The Artisan 810 so every printer can print on it, all you have to do is just plug it in to the network with an Ethernet cable or if you have a wireless connection a handy wizards through the front control panel makes it easy to configure a wireless connection.
Now I print a lot of different print jobs on this printer and it was really fastest in this class that I seen, I printed single sided and double sided also known as duplex printing print jobs on the duplex printing some of the other printers is class full either crop of the top or bottom of the page or make shrink the page in order to make a margins larger that wasn’t the problem at all with the Epson printer.
Also its very fast in scanning as I said before the Epson 810 is optimized for photo printing and the print quality of the photos I got was clearly above average the colors are well balanced there were no unwanted tint to the pictures fine detail on a high resolution pictures was very well maintained and best of all it did a great job on tricky colors such as the golden sunrise being reflected on water.
So, the Epson Artisan 810 is a power full and versatile all in one printer that’s going to fit well with all your home computing needs it has a list price of $299 and I believe that it delivers a great value.
