Welcome back to the Essential Yahoo series. On the Yahoo home page, use an option of a messenger. Messenger allows you to chat online with your friends and family who are logged into Yahoo when you are. First you need to download it. If you don’t want to download it though, you can use messenger on the web, this allows you to chat without downloading anything. Let’s take a look.
So first sign in, you can sign in as invisible which means when you sign in none of your contacts will see that you actually signed in. So here we are at yahoo messenger. You can add contacts to chat with by entering in your Yahoo or Windows live user name here. Just click on their name when you want to chat with them. Type your message down here and either click send or hit enter. This is where you had your conversation.
You can also change the font and even add smiley faces to your chat and I have a response. You can mark yourself as available, busy, stepped out or you can right your own custom status message that people you’re connected to will see.
You can also add contacts to a group to help organize them, I’ll call this one coworkers. You can have multiple chats going on once and switch to different ones by clicking on this tabs.
