Perimeter Defense vs Right Side
Speaker: Starting out, right here behind Jane, behind Jane. So she is already there. Good arm's length away from Jane. If Jane moves, we have a right side, Julia is going to adjust to see what's there.
She also is going to give a good arm's length from the antenna when she moves out. So she is going to pre-hop out. No, from the antenna, the edge of the antenna, your fingertips are there, so you don't go beyond here.
So when I say, edge of the antenna, you put your fingertips right on the edge of that antenna and that's how far your arm's length is. If you have someone who is really long, long arms, you might tell them a half an arm's length. If you have someone who has a little, short, tiny arms, you want to tell them two arm's length. You want them to be able to hit the line from here if they can. If you think they cannot hit line, you can move your block in even more, until they are sure they can. It only helps your defense if you know they can't hit this ball.
So we are going to stay here. Julia is going to come here. Emily, this is a crossover scoop, she closes. Lyon, go straight and shuffles back, holds that sideline. Ashley, go straight back again. She might shade to the attacker. Virginia, go straight back. Perfect! Then Aaron's ten by ten shuffling. You are getting there, and she is facing the attacker. Stranley, foot line. So that is perimeter defense to right sides. Let's see that again ladies. Full speed this time with the ball. Here we go. Here we go. React. Good job Ashley! Good job! Another one.
