This is phone arenas video review of the Eten M600 plus+. The successor of the M600 which we reviewed earlier. It is a pocket PC phone with Windows Mobile operating system and that one of the reasons for its relatively thick size when compared to another ordinary phone.
The front side is dominated by the QVGA 65000 color display which is touch sensitive. Located bellow the display are the buttons which are small and very inconvenient to use. They are also not lit at all which makes them even more impractical. There are additional three buttons on the left side which are respectively for the camera, volume control and voice commands.
Located on the back are the three mega pixel camera and a small mirror for self shooting. Pictures taken in bright lights are fine but overall they are not good enough and the colors don’t look real. When used the flash lights up only during the exposure and photos taken in that condition looks pretty bad.
Overall the construction is dull just like its predecessor but the used materials are slightly different and the glossy surface is now mat instead. The whole screen is personalized and it displays the upcoming task and the received messages as well as shortcuts and various programs. The right shortcut button opens the end desktop application which includes links to different utilities arranged in front tabs.
The phonebook is a standard pocket PC line and features a lot of ways fro searching to your contacts but its numerous capabilities are sometimes even confusing. The calendar is also a standard one and adding an appointment is a piece of cake.
Besides being a business phone the M600+ also has some very good multimedia features and a media player known for the PC version of windows, plays both audio and video files.
Other popular programs that come with are Excel, Word and Skype and you can use another for YP communication via wireless connection.
Overall the M600+ is worth the money and its main pros are its solid construction and powerful hardware while the major cons are the awful sound quality, the horrible keypad and the slow GPRS.
