Hi! This is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder and welcome back to our special buttescotch.com 10-part series on Google Earth. In this segment we’re going to look just briefly at Google Earth’s ability to interface with your GPS devices. You can take devices that you use for driving or walking and pull that information right in to Google earth. You can also import files from such devices, right here we’ll click tools, GPS, you could see here there is historical information that you would import from files and then there’s real time information that could be brought in, in real time. So under historical, we’ll click on import, go down here to a GPS file and it won’t actually import here because I don’t have the device but that would be how you would import your information into Google Earth. This allows you to track things like hikes, camping trips and lots more right into Google Earth if you’ve use the GPS during your explorations. So, this is GPS and Google Earth. Keep in mind that this is part of a multiple part series and be sure to listen to all 10 parts.
