What is a speed painting?

When I started this picture I ask myself: What is a speed painting. Ok, the painting process looks really "speedy" but this is because it is a time-lapsed video. In real the painting process took about 3 hours. My idea was to paint a painter while he paints a formula one crash - plein air, in the nature in front of the real motif. He must be a really good "speed-painter" to do so. Did anyone noticed, that the advertising on the car ist remove. Instead of this you can see artist names: - Polke (Sigmar) - Richter (Gerhard) - Duchamp (Marcel) - Warhol (Andy) - Baselitz (Georg) - Picasso (Pablo) on the Helmet.
