Kitty Bradshaw: Welcome, I am Kitty Bradshaw from www.biom.net. I want to take this opportunity to talk to you about the fall season. There are lots of interesting aspects to the fall season that you would benefit from knowing about. So I am going to start with the fact that it's a season that has one of the five elements of energies associated with it and that energy for fall is a metal energy. What that means is that that kind of energy predominates during this season. It's already here, it's already upon us and it does tend to mean that our lungs are the thing that are the organ that are the most impacted by the energy of the fall.
So for us that means do our best to ward off colds, prevent them before they take hold and if they do manage to make it through our defenses make sure that we pay attention, do the kinds of things that -- such as get rest, drink plenty of fluids that help to make cold as short as possible.
One environmental factor that's really the key one for this particular season is dryness just as the leaves are drying and falling from the trees, we are also subjected to the same of kind of dry aspect in the metal energy of fall. For us that means staying hydrated even though it's not hot and sunny anymore, is also important in the fall. For us the lungs are the organs that tend to dry out the most and where we see it is an associated organ of the lungs which is the skin. If you are prone to eczema or other skin problems, you are going to see more of that in the fall than pretty much any other season and the reason for that is that, that’s where this dryness tends to show up.
So, if any of these kinds of things are things that you are prone to, just pay more attention, do some things to really take care of your lungs, stay warmed, don't get too cold, stay hydrated and just notice is in fact your lungs, you are breathing, any aspects of your particular health related to lungs are being affected.
