Montel Williams: Thank you. Dr. Travis Stork: Because he’s making smarter food choices. We sent Montel in a house and called a surprised family with horrible eating habits at dinner time. Take a look at this. Montel Williams: I'm standing outside of the Gordon family home. Who is the Gordon family, a family that’s definitely not living well? Dinner is about to be served. I'm going to go prepare it, okay. Watch this. Knock, knock. How are you? Female1: I'm good. Thank you. Montel Williams: Oh, look at the plate guys. This is a typical American dinner. The size of the meat portion on your plate, you got just a little bit of vegetables, big chuck of white flour, the baked egg -- no, the baked egg. Iceberg lettuce? Do you know that this has zero nutritional value? Male: This looks like a full balanced meal. Montel Williams: There’s a whole new pyramid. You only need about 5.5 ounces to 6 ounces of protein each meal, at least four to five cups of vegetables, two to three cups of berry a day, at least 6 ounces of grains a day. I would really cook in your hose if you allow me. Male: I’d like to. Montel Williams: And mom, now you're the Southern girl, right. Female1: Yeah, I'm from the South. Montel Williams: Born and raise on that back in grease. Female1: Different flavor, that’s what I was taught. Female2: I like my mom’s macaroni and cheese casserole. Male2: A pizza. Male3: Hamburgers. Montel Williams: Technically, come on, well, you do like vegetables at all? Male4: I like ranch dressing with carrots. Female1: You know what, I'm really glad you're here because heart disease does run in our family. Montel Williams: Well, that’s more of the reason why we have to make a change because you guys won't look healthy, you really do. But this is a ticking time bomb right here. But, at a time we’re done, I'm going to show you how even one of you guys are going to drink a cup of spinach. Dr. Travis Stork: Take a look at the action plan Montel came up with. Montel Williams: So now that I've blown up your pantry. Okay guys the cookies got to go, macaroni pie got to go. But, I can promise you that I have everyone of you guys drink a cup of spinach a day, at the Doctors, they got you guys little of my help the last pair of blender. You could use one food that you want to put in here. I'm going to take a nice pickled handpicked spinach. Female1: That’s it? Montel Williams: That’s it, mom. Cheers! Male1: Very good! I can't believe he likes it. Female1: I know. Montel Williams: You know there’s a lot to talk about free fatty acids. Female1: Well, the fish steaks count?
