My name is Delon and I worked in the MacArthur Park area and it is a beautiful area. I do manage and leasing buildings to the area. Managed that faster in the day and at night I want to recommend and call so long records and I have got a record coming out.
I am a rapper and a producer as well and that is what I do. I stay on the ground no matter hassle everyday.
Okay, I am going to give you guys a little history on MacArthur Park. It was originally a swamp land area in the 1880’s. It was called West Lake Park because this was the west lake in downtown Los Angeles.
After it was called West Lake Park, it was called MacArthur Park named after the General Douglas MacArthur. He was a controversial figure in the American history. He was in three wars, World War I, II and III.
Basically, it was a naturally aspirated lake meaning that it was natural springs that you got your water from but after they put the metro and the train system, they have to put a cement bottle.
People want to live in downtown. This is literally seven blocks from downtown. Nobody really knows about MacArthur Park area than in the mid Wilshire than in Korea town in West Lake.
When I looked at the window I think about the fact on how lucky I am to have a job and to be eating, you know what I mean as well as have my studio and personal life, a music life all around the same area. Have a nice area around me.
I mean then I got Korea town which is like three blocks from here and you know, Korea town is the bone. It has the best food down there. On a daily love boat maybe I wake up and go back to my zone meals.
I liked the areas I lived in. Here, I can get out. I can go run in the morning. It could be around the park. I could be around people that I like and I speak Spanish fluently so I have no problem with people around me.
Land in community and land communities are always very friendly. That is the way their culture is so being around this area you know how to really be worried about being in other people’s business or offending someone by walking into a store around town and looking at people and smiling.
This is not the Taipei area because people here are very humble. Basically, you got everything from travel agencies to food joints. Now, to social culture that you could be around and you could spend time with and that is pretty much all you need.
I got my studio with my house is down the street. I got a bill and here I worked so every thing is everything in this area.
