Veronica: It's the combination of ultimate comfort with maximum support. Hi! I am Veronica with WatchMojo.com and today we are looking at a collection for the Fitness Fashionista. First of all, why should we wear workout clothes versus just wearing an old baggy t-shirt? Tamara Jedeikin: Actually it's really important that you do wear the proper attire for working out. So things that are a little bit closer fitted to the body actually help you move a little bit better. You'll get greater ease of movement. The technology and the fabric is really, really important. Cotton tends to not be a great moisture wicking fabric. It tends to retain moisture. So whatever temperature you are at, it's going to wind up making you extremely hot or extremely cold, because the moisture stays trapped on your skin. A lot of our workout clothes come with technology in the fabric. It's build into the fabric, it's sown in. The idea is that you build moisture during the workout, it actually gets removed from your skin and goes to the outside layer of the fabric, so you stay dry the entire time. Veronica: How important are the colors of your workout clothes on your workout? Tamara Jedeikin: Working out is such a psychological thing, and to motivate yourself to do something high energy or high impact, we feel, and we've seen actually from a lot of our customer feedback, that the bright colors tend to really motivate them. We also try to make sure we have a range of color, so if you are doing something like yoga and it's a slower, more sort of thoughtful movement, the colors are a little bit softer, a little bit more sort of earthy and muted. Veronica: So do you think you can show us some of the must haves? Tamara Jedeikin: Definitely. We are going to take a look at some of our essential pieces, what we call the essentials, that really are staples in every woman's workout collection. This is the double layer tank top. Basically it has a built-in layer of mesh, with a support liner, and an adjustable strap. It's really important because you want that perfect fit, and it's a great piece for low impact or cross training. If you put a sports bra underneath it, you are ready to go with maximum support, anything you want to do: mountain climbing, biking, running. The pant is what we call our core pant. It's fairly straight boot-like fitting, all the way down, so it's really appropriate for any type of activity. This outfit is a perfect example of something that comes in a lighter weight, a cotton spandex mix, so it has a breathability, and it does have a little bit of moisture wicking, but not as much of the technology as the outfit for a high intense workout. It's the same shape as the previous pant, but it's in a shorter capri length, which we find as the weather warms up, a lot of women tend to gravitate to this length, because it's quite flattering on all different heights. The sweatshirt is a very, very soft cotton, and it's also lightweight, but it's very, very soft on the skin. Underneath, she has just basically cotton stretch ribbed tank top, which is a universal staple in so many women's wardrobes, whether she is working out or she is lounging. What's nice is that the whole outfit sort of translates to a lifestyle collection, not just a workout collection. Any of these pieces can be worn outside of the gym.
