I am Steve Terrano, welcome to section of Body Performance.
Let us talk a little bit about facts and fat.
Fat cells are extremely small.
They are so small, it takes a million fat cell to contain the calories in one life saver.
The average individual has about 40 billion fat cells on their body. And over weight individual has about a 100 billion fat cells.
Fat cells can swell to six times the normal size and they can replicate.
Now actually some one is going to ask once I have additional fat cell, can I loose them?
Yes you can, but it is going to take a lot of effort.
Now people do not realize this but fat is very active metabolically. It generates a lot of chemicals.
It produces Lactin which helps control our hunger.
It produces chemicals that affects our blood pressure, blood clothing, an inflammation so it is very, very active and obviously the more fat you have the more chemicals are produce.
Now more research occurs, they are going to understand more about fat and how it works the chemical it produces and how to control it.
But until that time, we only have 2 things: Eating and Exercise.
Love your body.
