Gram: Gram gets a shocking reaction from his future father-in-law.
Father: I’m kind of disappointed.
Male: Then Delia and her mother share a heart felt moment.
Mother: I have never been happy with my life.

Delia: The wedding is only a week away so Gram and I decided to go to the
Improv and catch a comedy show, get our minds off the wedding.
Comedian: You want to get married here.
Gram: We’re getting on myspace.
Comedian: You’re getting married on my space.
Gram: Yeah.
Comedian: Is Tom your best man?
Gram: Yeah.
Comedian: How long you’ve guys been together for?
Gram: 8 years.
Comedian: Way to pull the trigger bro. Way to go.
Find out eight years later.
Gram: We had the opportunity to get married on my space.
Comedian: So that’s what made you pull the trigger.
Delia: Yeah.
Comedian: Listen baby I love you but as soon as worldwide social networking site
gives us the okay we’re gold.
Comedian: So you’re getting married on myspace so everyone gets to like pick your
show for you right.
I’m not getting married anytime soon so I know what your thinking why
your gorgeous because I’m just picky I’m just picky when other people are
saying that, I’m picky. Here now you’re a bitch.
Comedian: So you met in college.
Gram: Yeah.
Delia: He’s my first boyfriend.
Comedian: He’s your first boyfriend. That’s great because you can just be like it’s the
best ever, it’s the best in the world.
Gram: Thanks Improv we had a great time. The comedians were really good. I
was laughing all the time.
Comedian: Congratulations getting married on MySpace goodnight.
Gram: I suppose you’re wondering while I brought you here today.
Father-in-law: Well I cross my mind.
Gram: I never asked Delia’s Dad for his blessing on the wedding so I was really
nervous. When I was at lunch with him I figured I should still ask even
though when wedding is right around the corner, Delia means a lot to me
and I love her with all my heart and I should have said this 4 years ago. I
wanted to ask for your blessing on our marriage.
Father-in-law: I’m kind of disappointed that you didn’t approach me 4 years ago because
she’s my only daughter. I thought of this moment, dreamed of this
moment, it’s an important tradition the parents are certainly involved. It’s
kind of disappointing to experience this the week before your wedding.
Susie: Hi I’m Susie Chhuor.
Delia: Nice to meet you.
This morning I got a message from Anja for me and my mom to go to the
Susie Chhuor studio to look at wedding hairstyles.
Susie: There’s three different styles, the first one a very long and wavy hairstyle
all down, okay.
Delia: Susie described what she’s going to do but first we’re going to do some
makeup.
I was really excited because Susie has been featured as a top bridal stylist
in the Knot Magazine I know she’s going to do a great job.
Susie: So mom what do you think about the all-down style?
Mom: I like it but I’ve seen you wear your hair this way a lot.
Delia: It’s definitely my style but not what I pictured for the wedding. So what
else we got.
So Susie started working on hairstyle number two which was an all up
hair-do.
Susie: Mom what do you think?
Mom: That’s you, I love it.
Delia: It’s cute but I kind of it thought it looked nice but it wasn’t really nice
though.
Gram: When Tony said he was disappointed I was in Shock I totally messed up I
was freaking out.
Is there anything I could do to make—
Tony: Just make my daughter happy.
I want to ask you some questions. How old are your relationship was with
your father?
Gram: Our relationship was good.
My dad passed away 7 years ago. I’m real close with my dad and he was a
great guy.
Tony: If there is a question or if you need any help or assistance I would like to
be your surrogate father.
Gram: Tony took me under his wing as a 4th son it meant a lot to me.
Tony: Welcome to the family.
Gram: Thanks I appreciate it.
Delia: So Susie started working on hairstyle number 3.
Susie: So then I’m going to go to the back we’re going to check out some
accessories for you okay, okay, perfect.
Delia: So while were waiting I wanted to talk to my mom about how I’m
supposed to write my vows.
Well me and mom always pictured you know saying our own vows. Do
you have any advice as far as how I’m supposed to…
Mother: Go ahead and ready it to me.
Delia: I just start by saying I knew from the very first kiss that I wanted to marry
you.
I definitely value my mom’s opinion she’s a little bit more traditional but
sometimes you need to know what those traditions are.
Mother: You need to maybe incorporate something like in sickness and in health
what does that mean to you I mean when I got sick my illness put a lot of
strain on the relationship with your father and I but because we had taken
those vows in sickness and in health Tony honored that and he snuck
through the whole thing and so when you’re doing your vows you think
about those things.
Delia: So when my mom was giving me this advice it really helped me put things
into perspective and we’re having this heart to heart that I don’t think
normally would have happen had this myspace wedding not come about.
I really like how we’ve gone so close and really open up to each other and
I really want it to stay this way.
Mother: I have never been happier in my life than I am now and I just want to
thank you for being a great daughter.
Delia: I love you.
Mother: I love you to.
Susie: So this is the last hairstyle it’s half a upo down what do you think mom?
Do you like it?
Mother: Oh my goodness. Beautiful, I really, really like it.
Delia: I like it. I like it a lot.
After looking at all three hairstyles my mom and I decided on we have a
path down due for my wedding day it was perfect.
Tony: Oh look who’s here.
Delia: Me and my mom decided to go meet up with Gram and my dad.
Tony: There is some improvisation I gave Gram a woman needs love, needs to
be hugged, whereas a man needs to be respected and I do have a
something here that myspace gave me, something that you’re going to
remember for the rest of your lives and I want to present this to you now
from myspace and my congratulations.
Gram: Thank you.
Mother: I want to cry.
Gram: Wow there it is.
Delia: I saw the wreath diamond ring and it was so gorgeous.
Gram: The shoe fits.
Thanks myspace you voted for the wreath ring which is the one I picked
out for her.
Delia: It’s cute.
It was really special that my dad was the one that revealed the ring.
This is something that we will remember forever.
Finally.
Gram: I know.
Delia: My parents left and Gram and I stayed and just chatted for a bit.
This is what we’ve been waiting for.
Gram: It’s one week away though. Can you believe that?
8 years of a relationship. 4 years of an engagement and 13 weeks of
myspace the wedding is like a week away I mean it’s almost like when we
won, we didn’t really believe it.
Delia: I know it’s like a dream.
When I think back how I ever wanted this and we got it. Now it’s here this
feels perfect.
Thank you myspace for picking me and Gram to have this special
opportunity, now all I got to do is tune in and see the beautiful wedding
that you guys created for us.
No more crying until the wedding day.
