Hi! I am Fatima Olive with Ford Artist and I often get asked what is the best makeup or what are you must haves? So, what I have done is I have put together my must haves super easy way to make your makeup look absolutely beautiful in just a few steps.
First of all, everyone needs a great set of makeup brushes because the perfect tools make a great application. Now, you are going to need a powder brush, a couple of shadow brushes, a blush brush and a lip brush. The next thing that you are going to need is a concealer. You can either get a pallet that has more than one shade or if you are going to get on shade, make sure it matches your skin perfectly. With the concealer, again, the right brush is the perfect tool. Do not over do it because you are going to end up with reckon eyes. Just a small amount applied just in the right spot. So, I am just applying only where she needs it.
Next, I would recommend a liquid foundation because you can make it sheer for sometimes when you need a little less coverage and you can put it on a little bit heavier when you need a little bit more cover. So, I am going to use a sponge for this application. You can apply with your hands. You can apply with a brush. You can apply with a sponge. The differences are these. If you apply with a sponge, you are going to get a little bit of a sheer application. If you apply with a brush, a little bit more. And with your fingers you are really able to control where you want a heavier application and where you want a lighter application.
The next thing is a cream blush. I love cream blush because it looks really, really natural on the skin and it is one of those products that I find indispensable. Now, I remember my mom taking her lipstick and if she was in a big hurry she would like put a little bit on her cheeks and get it all working well. This is it. Bobby Brown has made a product that does both. You can apply on the cheeks. Smile. Apple of the cheeks, this is a great color. It is called flushed pink and it really is that. And of course, you can also use it on the lips to give a beautiful, beautiful natural look to the lips. I always say, this is the one of those products that if I was on a deserted island, I had to have this in case I am making around to take my picture. A little bit of blush looks great on everyone.
Let me show you a couple more steps that I think really finish the face. First of all, a little bit of a high light on the brow. I am using a pencil because it is super easy to apply. It just adds a little bit of shimmer, a little bit of a high light. Next you are going to need a translucent powder. Translucent powder is the one product that never gets seen but if you do not have it then you are missing it. I am using the sheer more translucent powder because I find it very light, easy to use. In certain areas, you want to think about using a loose powder.
Under the eye area, make sure there is no creases and then take a little bit of powder and just very lightly apply there. The T-zone is one of those areas that we do not want to have a lot of shine. So, that is another area that you can just take a little bit of powder an especially with the translucent, it makes it look great. And as you get older, this is a great application too. Because as we age, our skin looses some of the moisture and we want the skin to look dewy and young and fresh. This is an easy way to do it. We got a great--you got a great dewiness and dewy quality and you are not over powdering the skins.
The next thing you are going to need is eye shadows. I like to use creams one a little bit either white, shimmery white or shimmery gold that you can use as a high light color. And the second color should be a neutral medium tone that will be a base color you will apply on your whole eye. I am actually wearing this color too because I think it is such a great color. Every one needs a nice neutral color that makes you look like you are finished but not overly done. And you will notice that when I apply, I am applying just past the crease so that you can see a little bit of the color when your eyes open. Here is another little thing you need to remember when you are blending your eye shadow. If you take an imaginary line from the corner of the nose to the corner of the eye, that is as far as you should blend your eye shadow. If you come too much past here, it starts to bring your eyes down which you know we do not want to do that.
Next, I am going to apply mascara. That would be the second item I would take to the deserted island with me. First, I am going to curl the lashes. Curl once, release, move it up a little, curl twice, release, move it up a little bit--oops, slipped out--third time just get the ends a little bit. That way it looks like a more natural bend to the lashes. Everyone needs a great black mascara. My favorite happens to be Diorshow mascara because it applies really easily at last and it is amazing how much you can get from one quick application. You do not have to go back and add more. It really builds the lashes, and you know as we get a little bit older, our lashes start getting a little bit thinner, because it really fills and build the lashes.
Alright, the last thing that you are going to need is the product to groom your brows. Almost like a gel for your brows. So, I am using a product from Benefit, it is called speed brow. It is almost like a clear mascara for your eyebrows to get them groomed and they stay in place and look fabulous. There you go. Simple basic makeup application anyone can look simply beautiful in just a few steps.
