Okay, so this is Media Center running under HP touch route with the multi touch enables. As you can see, I can flick through this. This is very nice. Let’s go to the guide, I can flick through it. I can go up and down through it. Isn’t that great? I really like that.
Go to recording TV, we’ve got the shared view. We’ll just go with recorded TV. Let’s pick a show and see if we can watch that. Again, this is just pretty much, so at the media center you see all differences we’ve got here and we’ve got the options jumping around here.
The only thing that’s now quite changed is the information panel and the eye button. Now you’ve got program information and let’s do it again, the initiation and the details. We’ve got the Zune. We can actually change Zune, say in that one and of course all this is controllable through remote as well.
We’ve got a TV playback, very similar. This information panel is different one where we can choose some actions. We can on the showings and we record that one, and let’s see what we’ve got on here so I’m just going back now, back to recorded TV and lightly touch. I scan through that just like that. So this is a mixture of your colored TV files apart from and of course the partition of TV files recorded from this Windows 7 Dell.
I’ll go to movies and being in UK, there is not as much to date around this. Let’s go back to movies, so we’ve got some movies that are pulled out from just recorded TV disks and recorded TV files.
We’ll look at music now. First thing now, for stuffs album map is now color coded. So just make a bit more colorful when it has not got the album out. As you see, I start to fill out and this is the first time I think I’m going to enter music on all the misspelled, so I can find it at the album. Again, you can do these all things, you can scroll through. This still seems to be the index in the music. It’s got everything you’ve done there, and let’s go on that one. So I’ve got the best of the Eagles, I can play a track on that.
Now, this is very Zune like and real like later on with this kind of album colored view is very nice. This now playing, it has definitely been improved here. I like that, very nice way of playing on the computer I think good for the artist and everything else. As I said before when looking at shared, you can see all your machines on there as well, so I could actually authorize one and then we can turn that, there we go, so that’s the podcast that run this machine available in there, and I can play those as we do normally. So I can play this now. So the reason I pulled the best stage on that. That’s supposed to mess around in this machine. As you see, it’s still on that machine, play on that machine and so.
Okay, so now we are going to look at pictures and videos now. I’m just going to a folder and just wait while I built up these and the cache of these images. These are images from CES, from once in the keynote and into events. And again we’re going to touch scroll in on there and let’s do with a little slide show and the usual stuff, media center.
One thing I’ve got here I haven’t been able to play it is the new kind of screen ensemble see if we can get that to kick in later which is absolute picture based screen so it’s really nice. Now the things that I haven’t been able to show you on here, like internet TV and things like that are only available in the U.S. over the old media center. This has got all the Windows Vista media center, before TV pack icons support multiple tuners for different types of guide data and analog satellite DVD and so on. There is a whole range of new features, but these are the kind of the initial features that I’d like to look at, looking at extender then this looks exactly the same on X-Box C60. I’ve got some issues in things that are on playback but it’s getting there now.
So over all, media center is a nice step forward. Home group certainly adds a lot to it. Multiple choices from different sources as well. It’s going to be a lot better for users. I really like media center and I like the way it responds to touch slide. Media center is the best way in controlling touch because otherwise you’re going after pretty small buttons and if you have something like Windows media player to get some of these small menus and things whereas in media center it’s bigger, it’s much more visual.
Media center, I do really like in Windows 7.
