Host: And now Tracey is going to show us how to improve our health, wealth and happiness through some simple applications of Feng Shui.
Tracey Mackenzie: Okay, so there are two problems that I have with this area here. One is the fact that it is very cluttered, although it is esthetically together, like all the color match and everything. There is a lot of stuff on this mantle, and I find that it is a very heavy energy for the whiteness of the mantle and the fireplace.
Also this is not going to work with this chair. You see this chair, if you remove the black cushion, it has a very light beaching theme to it. It has a much lighter energy. So if I am going to take this and put it on top of this right away, you will say it doesn't go together. There is no compatibility here whatsoever. So having these two just opposed like this automatically creates a blockage in the overall flow of energy because we have two different styles.
Okay, so as you can see we have removed everything from the mantle and we have simply added colors and tones that work with this chair. So this carries the same theme and it automatically lightens up the energy and makes the energy flow nicely and much better than it did prior.
You have to remember that energy inside of a home is created by what you have in it and the amount of space that you have in it. It's basically when you eat too much or you have high cholesterol. you are arteries are blocked or cluttered it's blocking the arteries in your home. So you can't be healthy.
So your home cannot be healthy and increase the energy for you to be in harmony. So over here you will see that now we have this unit that originally went quite nicely with the items on the fire place mantle, but now it no longer works. So automatically you would have to remove this from this area and we would have to redistribute the furniture that we have or the items that we have in order to make it flow better.
So my idea would be to remove this over here and then we would take the plant that is kind of cluttered up in this corner. It's boxed in with the light and the rays and put the plant over on this side. This is undesirable, we don't want to couch that's partially in the living room, partially in the dinning room. So right away we will have to do something, also having a little box with magazines on the floor. I mean this isn't very practical.
Easily you could step into it and knock it over and we want to avoid those types of things. Over here you have a lamp, and its just kind of sitting there. It's not really doing much, it's nice but it's not being put into value. Over here, we have another chair, this is right when you walk in. It's blocking the energy as well. It's not suitably placed.
Over here we have got some kind of vase, some decorative items, we have got a cocktail table, a lamp that really has no business being there. Some brown curtains, a clock and none of it works together. Not a piece of this works together. So now we have to rearrange things completely, to make this room work.
Okay, so as you can see we have removed the couch that was once here and blocking entryway into the dinning room. Now we have one of our nice beachy type chairs. Put in front of this lamp and having the two together adds the calmness to the space, as well as adds importance to the lamp. Now we can see the lamp, the light is on. It adds some fun to the area and its bright.
Over here we have removed all that hotchpotch of stuff, we have taken off the dark curtain, and we have other very bright chair, beachy chair over here. So you see now right away we have created a flow of energy. Right when I come in the door, I am not getting blocked anymore. Now I can walk freely into the living room. I can pick a chair, or I can sit on the couch either way, but there is no blockage anywhere in this space.
Having such a wide space between the furniture we couldn't use that little long rectangular table. It took more of a square table, so I switched the coffee tables on it, but other than that, I didn't add anything else to the room. Everything is status quo. The couch we put it on an angle over here, so that it flows better, and the fireplace is no longer blocked.
