This review of Fieldrunners is brought to you by AppVee.com.
Fieldrunners is a very well-made tower defense game for the iPhone and iPod touch. In this game, your job is to prevent the enemy from making it all the way across the screen. If they do make it across, you lose health and after enough of them make it by, the game ends.
So, how do you prevent that from happening? Well, you start out with set amount of money that you can use to build defense points. These points are vary in cost and effect. The cheaper ones are just gun turrets while the most expensive ones are tesla coils.
You can use the different towers to build the path that the enemy soldiers have to walk through giving you the opportunity to kill them without allowing them to walk in a straight line to the other side of the screen.
You have to be careful however, because if you build too big of a course, the helicopter will most likely make it through in their first few rounds because you are coursed in and did not account for that.
You can upgrade all the different towers or seldom as you need to. So, there is a lot of customization involved.
There are three difficulty levels and a nearly endless stream of enemies to test your defenses.
The graphics in this game are spot on, giving a great super Nintendo field to a very addicting concept.
Fieldrunners is definitely a must have app for the iPhone and iPod touch.
