Steve Nelson To really nail the moody visuals style, it helps that a fog machine on hand. Use a minimal amount of lighting. One light in front and one in back if that is even needed. Using something like blinds in between your front light and your actor will also give a really cool effect.
Shooting at night and in black and white is strongly suggested. Do these things will help you get you a high contrast image?
Potato salad, interesting camera angles have been always been a staple of film noir. From experimenting with duck angles, to extremely high or low shots, to try out different lenses. Moving from objects to object complete reviewer to the mind set of your hero.
[Sound of Stiletto]
It is funny; you tempted me with my number one weakness, potato salad. And you still could not get me.

Erik Are they girl: detectives?
Female: No, they are not.
Erik In that case, I do not need your detectives. They are just stereotypes of people having film noir movies anyway. This is my show and no one else is going to tell me what to do, you got that sister?
Female: Fine.
Erik The anti-hero makes a good protagonist. His flaws keep dragging down, no matter how hard he tries to escape and keep out the track.
Erik Hey! Watch it down Mr. Narrator, right my left to bring you to the viewers.
Erik 2 Oops, did you not tell me not to bring you up because you want to subtly indicate through your narration that it was a typical thing in film noir movies? My bad.
Erik You are an asshole dude. Seriously fuck off.
Erik Hey Steve, are you going to give the viewers tips on the next week episodes of the show?
Steve Nelson I do not know. The four minutes is quickly depleting and I have not even covered everything yet. I mean, you are asking me about viewer submission and I have not even got in to tone yet.
[Crying]

Steve Nelson As angry as what Justin had done made me. I could not help to blame myself. It was like, no matter how hard I worked; things kept getting worst and worst. A significant feeling in the tone of your film noir. What a dilemma, sure I only want to express my vision in order to help the world, about the things I did in order to accomplish what is against everything I stood for to begin with. Was ambition, vanity, trust and disguise to success? To all film noir protagonist have to make such difficult discussions against insanity is just the eventual result of illusion battle against evil.
