Good morning, YouTubers, coming from Kansas. We have just got a kiln load under the kiln and I thought I would show you some of those pieces. Riley, the dog, is right here joining us today, as usual.
Some of these pieces are mine and some of them belong to others. This piece here is a hand-built floral pot that one of my students did in counselor’s, co-counselors during the day and this is a student piece. This is also another student piece but I did not include those because of safety glazes were pretty cool. This is a commercial glaze and it is kind of pretty.
These pieces over here belong to me. I have notice with my glazes, I have switched from some of the pre-mix glazes to powder form and I probably added too much water to some of the glazes because they ran a lot easier. I need to get a hydrometer.
I would actually like to start learning how to make my own glazes so I think that would be a great video for tensile pots or maybe some on lynch. Get on there and show me how to do that. That would be awesome. I am afraid if I try to do that myself, I might blow up my kitchen or something.
This is a bowl I made for a friend and I think it came out pretty cool. Besides, I kind of used the end of paint brush, actually and mad those marks. You see, we have got some rummage there. We will have to grind that off but I do not think it came out too badly and then these are some bowls that a friend of mine glazed, I, through the bowls and then he glazed them to give away to friends and it came out alright except for the like this one like I was talking about earlier has ran quite a bit early sort of grinding a little bit like there. I mean to finish that up
Blue all over on the inside covered with a white coating of speckled blue gray and then on the ground I dip them in just a better graph here and the rough here just around like crazy so, I do not know if that is good or bad. I have not really decided if I like this or not. I think maybe yes, but there is not real sure pretty dramatic and I am not sure if I like that.
This one only remained a bit. It is right there, burgundy gone through and ground that off. This bowl here is I like this one a lot. I like how that came out. I just kind of did some splattering and spurting of light coated glazed on the outside that is why really I like that effect. I wished that the bowl itself was maybe ground a bit better but I really like how it came out, how the glaze came out but inside that same glaze is much heavier coat. It looks kind of like an oven in slit brown but that is not what it is. It is actually a reduced dam blue and kind of see the whole clay load here in one try.
