Hi! I am Tasha with the Erwin Gomez Salon & Spa. Today, we will be creating the look of the one and only Beyoncé Knowles.
Throughout, the hair we have used a three-quarter inch which is slightly a little bit smaller than our one-inch curling iron, and the reasoning why we use the smaller is to get much of a smaller curl as we go throughout the hair. Now, we are going to switch right over to our one-inch curling iron to finish off the look, meaning curling per bangs since they are slightly a little bit shorter.
So, we are going to go ahead, take a large section across the top, you are going to pin that way. Take another section, so you kind of want to do a horizontal parting, don't you do this, and come and this lightly grays across the hair. I am not using a lot of tension, it's just kind of going through and it's winding the hair down.
I am going to try next section, this time we are going to slightly over-direct this a teeny bit to give it a little bit more volume. Come up a little bit higher and lightly smooth the hair through the curling iron, as so. Now, that has given us a little bit of lift and movement to the front sectioning of her hair.
Now we are going to take a little teeny bit of our cream which should be more of like a paste or something slightly a little firm, but has a little bit shine to it also. This is going to give us a little bit more control throughout the hair, going to want to work that really, really good throughout all of your hands, get it throughout in between your fingers and piece it up on the thumb and the pointer finger. You are going to go through, take a section, pull some of the hair out, wind the hair all the way through and pull it down. Go to another section, take it, wind it through, pull it down. You are going to want to do this basically throughout all of the hair.
Whatever direction the way the hair is curling that's the direction on the way that you are going to want to wind your hair and down the curl. This is going to give a little bit more defiance to the hair and to each curl. Now, you are not going to want to do this in every single section just a few. Go through, piece some of those out. Because some of them already have a natural look to them. The ones I need is it will have a little teeny bit more fly-aways, those are the ones that you are going to want to defy out a little bit more.
Okay, now what we are going to do. We are going to bring your head over as so, bend all the way down, want to go through, and basically mess your hair up. Kind of go through a whole lot, you are separating those curls, squashed your product on, you just to have a nice amount on your hands, so you really don't want to use more motion right at your base. Go through, piece some of that out until you get slightly a little messy.
Okay, then you are going to bring your head back. Then take sections of your hair, pull it up, come through, just kind of take piece of, where you are pinching those down. This is creating volume. Over-directing the hair, pull some pieces down.
Now, if you have a couple of pieces they are a little bit straighter you may take your three-quarter inch which is the smaller one, take the hair, wind some of those pieces out and just wrap just couple around the hair. Go through, I am going to do this all over after you've gone through and teased the hair out. Just pull random pieces out, wind it around. And if you can see what that creates, see it get a little bit more defined in the pieces. Come through, take a section. You are just winding that one piece all the way around to curling iron and letting that fall.
You are mainly more going to want to do this along the top, you are not really going to need it too much along the bottom. In the front section you are just going to want to rake that throughout with your fingers. Put as a teeny bit more product on your hands and what that's going to do, it's going to hold your bangs sleeked to one side. But it's a little bit more, come through, cup through with your hands and grace that as so.
And now, we have created a very fun flirty beautiful look just like Beyoncé Knowles.
