you cant really assess the usefulness of the wii fit by trying it out for a few minutes and playing games! your review is flawed, and obviously biased because you are paid to train people. i too was skeptical with the wii fit. but i have since learned that the basic exercises, which you have unlocked, are quite easy compared to the advanced exercises, cardio, training and yoga, which you have not yet unlocked(..and you are not very good at yet!) the wii fit is a great alternative to the gym on days that i am unable to go, especially now that i have worked my way up from the basic to the advanced. anyone can work their way up, at their own steady pace! once they are stronger and healthier, they can incorporate other exercises and training into their workouts (just as "guest" below mentioned) I highly recommend the wii fit for the old, young, fit or "not yet fit". good luck everyone! you can do it! :)

You are a really annoying woman. I just had a baby, and the Wii fit is perfect because I can use it while the baby is napping. It is so convenient. I guess the Wii fit won't work if you are lazy and do not want to lose weight.

My husband and I started the Wii Fit July '08. He has lost 23 lbs and now has a BMI of 22. I have lost 42 lbs and my BMI is now 32 from 42. I have only recently started to incorporate other excercises now that I am stronger and healthier. My ultimate goal is a BMI of 25 (57 yr old female, 4'11"). Nothing else has worked for us. This was convenient and easy to do in our own home. I highly recommend the Wii Fit if you are looking to change your lifestyle.

I think the wii gives you a great start to an excersise routine. It has put me in the mood to excersise and inspired me to join a gym.
