Emily Hebert: Hi! I am Emily Hebert, elle.com's associate beauty editor. And today, we are scouting the streets of New York to see what people's favorite makeup is for faking flawless skin.
What's your go to concealer and foundation?
Speaker: As far as pressed powder goes, I always use Almay, just it's good for your skin hypoallergenic, that kind of stuff. As far as like concealer and stuff like that goes. I don't -- I try to use very minimal, I think the more you pile on, the more noticeable your blemish is going to be instead.
Speaker: So in the morning I usually put concealer right, under my eyes and then I use this Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and I have never used foundation. But the tinted moisturizer, is so light and it just makes you look really even and it also -- I have kind of dry skin, so it works for that too.
Speaker: Bare minerals and then L'Oréal concealer.
Speaker: I use the studio fix, I do a liquid foundation and then I do there a blot powder on top, so it makes it less oily.
Speaker: Definitely, one of my secrets for blemishes is to put tonnes of moisturizer on it. So when you put the actual concealer over top of it, there is no like crustiness or it fills in really smoothly.
Speaker: Try to drink a lot of water and get more sleep. But mostly, foundation is definitely your best. But when you are trying to cover that sort of stuff up.
Emily Hebert: What foundation do you use?
Speaker: I use a tinted moisturizer by Clinique, that's what I use.
