Male Speaker: LED's on flexible stripe come with two lead wires and this is where you are going to apply your current. Now, if you notice our power adaptor comes with this type of connector. Now you can cut that connector off and use the wires to connect directly to the LED flexter or you can use a DC coaxial jack and make the connection a lot easier. As you see here if its right into a power supply.
So, first you'll need to go ahead and unscrew the metal piece from the outside cover. Now, once you have that off will go ahead and take a look at the inside of this metal piece. There are two pieces and there is a long piece that you see here with two crimp tapes on it and you have this internal cylinder with an opening on. Now that's on this internal opening is where you are going to connect your positive lead wire to and negative will go to this outside metal tab, so next what you want to do is make sure that you slide the cover through the wires and that where the covers in place and now you are ready to take your negative lead wire and go ahead and put it through the pin hole that you see here and bend the wire back and this will help hold the wire while you solder it in place.
Next we'll take the positive lead wire and will slip it into the opening to the internal metal piece which you see here. And then when you go to also do at this time is go ahead and crimp the two metal tapes that you see here and that will help hold the wires in place while you solder them. So, here we've gone ahead and soldered the two lead wires and you can see here on the outside, when you will be use a good amount of solder and on the inside positive lead wire, we've gone ahead and filled the opening with solder; make sure there is a good connection. We've also crimped the two metal tapes to help hold those wires in place. So, now we are ready to slip the cover back into place, so just through that back on doesn't have to be two tight.
LED's on a flexible stripe will need a 12 volt DC adaptor to run that and you are going to use about 3 amps for every 16 feet. So, you can actually connect two, three or even four rolls together just to make sure that the adaptor has enough amps per roll. And there you go. LED's flexter come with wire catch for custom connections, if you notice we've used the DC coaxial connector to make it easier to plug into the adaptor. And now you are ready to go ahead and light your project that you might be working on. Now, you can purchase our LED flexter as well as solder DC coaxial jacks on our website at www.leddistributors.net.
