#4 The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore. Built in 1296, the Cathedral has become a main attraction for all tourists. Particularly, for those who value pictorial works of art made of stained glass. An array of gorgeous works with precious detail can be seen almost everywhere with within its walls, in addition to statues and sculptures. The Basilica is notable for its dome design by Filipo Brunelleschi.
#5 The San Lorenzo Market. The central San Lorenzo Market is housed inside a huge iron and glass building that was built in 1874. Even though it is now a touristic attraction, the market has preserved a part of its charm. Located just a few steps outside the Church of San Lorenzo, you will find everything and anything you could possibly want in this market. The quality of the products for sale here is not always guaranteed, but the prices are hard to beat.
