No matter what model of the KitchenAid processor you have, they assemble the same way. They safety interlocks switch has to be activated in order to operate the appliance.
Think of the motor base as a clock. Center the work bowl over the support with the handle of work bowl at the 8 o'clock position. Then swing the handle down the 6 o'clock. You will feel the bowl snap into place. Dropping the blade or the disk support that you will need and now add the cover. This time face latch or the seal to at 8 o' clock position and turn it to the 6 o'clock position. If you look at the handle of the bowl, you can see the lock engage. It's the combination of the work bowl and the latch snapping into place that enables to interlock the safety switch in the handle.
All of the KitchenAid Processors assemble the same way. The extra wide Feed Tube version of the 12 Cup Processor has an additional step. With this model you need to have the Feed Tube pusher in place after you have got in a work bowl and cover assembled correctly in order for the processor to work.
