Food for Active Kids

Shantel: I'm Shantel I'm from Strasburg, Colorado. My kids are active in sports what kinds of food should I feed them to make so they are getting enough nutrients for their growing bodies and activities.

Tiffani Hays: Shantel interesting question. Kids involved in sports just need more and the same healthy foods. So given the opportunity the three meals and a snack each day and make sure they stay hydrated. They need an extra cup of water for every 20-30 minutes of exercise that they are going to take part in. If their exercise last long within an hour and a half or they may need more replacement fluids and electrolytes during the sport and the common sport strengths are good way to do that.
