Jennifer: 18 years old Ian and his mom Marilyn have made the best of the cards they have been dwelt in more ways that want.
Marilyn: He was having temper tantrums all the time; I thought I know you are very frustrated.
Ian: I was like frustrated and I didn’t I was like I was really angry about some thing.
Jennifer: Ian has Fragile X Syndrome a disorder similar to Autism, behavior problems and intellectual impermeant are common.
Marilyn: Both of us would be interested in him being you know being able to take anything that would help you, help you learn and help you.

Jennifer: No drugs help the learning problems that come with Fragile X or Autism but Doctor Elizabeth Kravis hopes this drug CX516 will change that. It increases activity of specific proteins within brain cells and it only works when patience are trying to learn.
Elizabeth: If they try to learn something it will help them establish and network of neural connections to do that think so that they can learn better.
Jennifer: Study results are at final Dr. Kravis, self thinking function and life skills improve.
Elizabeth: We had one patient who started talking on the telephone and he had never been able to do that before.
Jennifer: Though Ian doesn’t know he had if he got the real drugs he believes he did.
