Avoid Excessive Exercise
Too much of anything is not good. Too much of sweets can make you want a puke. Being a workaholic can shoot your blood pressure levels up to the sky. Too much food intake can make you obese. Too much exercise can twist every muscle in your body. This sounds strange does it not?
Well, consider this: Sunday: craving to go out and sweat it out; Monday: two hour aggressive bike-ride; Tuesday: swimming two hours; Wednesday: two hours of weights and cardio; Thursday: tennis (But feeling sad. Tennis is not aerobic enough); Friday: a long bike ride and swimming; Saturday: a strenuous bike ride and treckking.
Oh yes, there are people in this world better fitness-maniacs. Those people who will feel like the world will collapse if they do not work out for even a day. It is okay to love exercising. The problem is when you love it too much. You call this people “workout junkies.” A long time deprivation from exercise leads to restlessness and the deep craving to workout. This is followed by the many unsuccessful attempts to begin a workout. Finally, you are so worried about your declining fitness that you frantically start fantasizing yourself to exercise and you finally managed to hit the gym or cycle or swim or anything else.
So much so, that you will hear your bones almost cracking at the end of it. Some people work out aggressively when they just had a break-up or somebody died in their family or such similar situations. This is become an obsession and at most times, would interfere with their work and the time they devote to their family. Obsessive behavior like this absorbs more energy than what could have been diverted into some sort of creative activity. Excessive exercising makes a person boring. It can get people around you irritated. Obsessions are never welcomed by anybody. Obsessive exercise also gets you to talk about it to people all the time. Such fitness maniacs are a turn off, especially when you are talking to someone who is slightly on the heavier side.
Do not wait for someone to knock you in the head or catch someone making jokes about your obsession. With too much exercise, you might just disappear. There is a limit to everything. Exercise makes a person healthy. It makes your body more flexible, increases blood circulation and gives you good sleep. Exercise wards off depression and boost your self-esteem. But, when you overdo exercise, you will realize how hellish like this for people who are around you.
Remember, talking about fitness and your workouts all the time can put off people. It works adversely on your body as well. Give yourself a break. Tone it down a little. Exercise in the right quantity, it will do wonders. Obsessive workout can kill. You do not want to die too soon do you?
