Fresh Whiskey Sours
Female: When I was a little girl my father used to drink whiskey sours. Of
course he will give me the cherry. So I developed a taste for
whiskey sours. It’s a classic drink, that’s back in fashion again.
First we’re going to make the mix. I need three quarters of a cup of
whiskey. Pour it in to a beaker or a pitcher. And most whiskey
sours when you get them in restaurants are actually made with sour
mix, which I hate that. This is made with fresh lemon juice, fresh
lime juice and a simple sugar served. So I need half of a cup of
freshly squeezed lemon juice. The odor smells good.
Half a cup of freshly squeezed lime juice. We really have to use a
fresh lime juice. Don’t even think about using the bottled ones.
Pitcher. The last thing I need is simple syrup and what is, is a cup
of sugar and a cup of water that I cooked and chilled. And just
make it very simple syrup that I can sweetened us with. So two
thirds of a cup of simple syrup.
So that’s the mix. Later I’m going to shake it with ice, maraschino
cherry, Martini glass. That’s going to be really good.
This is pretty good. Hey babe! How about we celebrate to our
whiskey sour? To your new book.
Male and made one day be complete.
