So, you have moved to a new place and you are looking to make some friends or perhaps, you just want to expand your group of friends and want to meet some new people. How to go about doing that? A good way is through activities. Now, let us see. You may like softball, you may like baseball, or you may like scrap booking. It does not matter because there is guaranteed with someone who likes to do what you like to do. Check out the local newspaper, go to a local website, start doing some research, attend some of those meetings, those groups, those games, and you are definitely on your way to forming some new friendships.
Now, once you find people that do like to do what you like to do, remember when you go to these things, to be warm and open, good eye contact, smiling. If you are a little shy, ask generic questions like asking about the weather. Talk about the latest and greatest thing that is going on locally. Just things that you will have in common right from the get-go and that will kind of ease you in to making new some friends. So go for it, go mixing your friends and have fun.
