Collin: I am Collin from Portland, Oregon, and I would like to know, how do fruits and vegetables help maintain a healthy heart? Joseph Kannam: Well Collin, in fruits and vegetables, there are lots of important nutrients that are needed for your heart, and more importantly, it increases your fiber intake, and it also, if you are eating lots of fruits and vegetables, hopefully you are not eating other things that might be high in saturated fats, fried foods, baked goods, meats that have lots of saturated fats that might be bad for your heart.
