Speaker: Hi, we are going to talk about fun activities for toddlers. Toddlers are so full of energy and they have so many ideas of their own of what they would like to do? I think probably following their lead is your safest bet, always. If you are to say, I have no ideas, then they are just bored then it's up to you to entertain them. I am telling you, if you at your imagination go wild and you just start to talk about stories when I was kid and you tell them a story that will get them engaged.
They love movement, they love music, if you sing at all or if you don't sing, or you can pop in a tape or a CD that they like and you can dance. You can pretend to be animals. You can take out hand paint. You can do all kinds of things that are creative, but there is also things that you can do that are engaging by going out to do something that you might enjoy and bring the kid with you. Socializing the child is an important factor, in their upbringing. Movement is extremely important and I found that with my son, if ever there was a lull and that we were just bored, if I had just started to engage with him and do things like try a handstand or do a somersault or help them to do a handstand. Talk about what they are going to when they are three, if they are two. Talk about the kinds of things that you did at Christmas last year and just get them to talk with you. They will indicate what they feel like doing.
Some of the best activities are things that are not very complicated. Kids don't need a lot. They just really need you to be engaged and to have fun with them. They are extremely interesting people.
