Get Married in a French Chateau

Nessa Wrafter: Well I’ve stumbled up on something very oolahlah, it’s a Chateau in France and you can hire the entire thing for yourself and your loved ones for the week of your wedding. I’m here with Lorraine, she’s going to tell us where the ins and outs on how you can do that. Hi Lorraine! Thank you for joining us. So, tell us about the Chateau, how does it work? Lorraine: Hi! Well, the Chateau is in South West France, just outside Bordeaux, and it accommodates 25 people, there’s 12 double bedrooms in the Chateau. And what we did when rented for a minimum of 5 days to a week or more if you want it, and during their stay one day of the holiday we arrange a complete wedding service, a wedding special package which includes all the catering, the local wine, champagne, waiter service, everything like that, cakes, flowers, everything that you want, and to finish the evening we do a fabulous firework display. Nessa: Well that sounds very exciting, and I see there are wine bottles here behind me, so this is from the region, is it? Lorraine: Yes it’s from the Bordeaux region, just a little away from the Chateau, and we do special wedding label which goes in the package which is a picture of the Chateau and the couples name and the date they got married. Nessa: That’s so lovely, so the guests can take it home. That’s really, really lovely. And now tell me what kind of price range we’re looking at, is this going to be way out of the price range. Lorraine: No it’s not. If you have say for instance, it depends really on entirely how many people you are going to have, but if you had say, let me say 50 people, ok for 50 people for 5 days would cost you 19,000, yes just over 19,000 pounds. And that’s for 5 days staying in the Chateau, 25 people and the complete wedding package. Nessa: Which is actually about what everybody wants in the wedding anyway, just for one day in England. Lorraine: That’s right. Nessa: And you’re probably going to get better whether, aren’t you? Lorraine: Of course. Of course. Nessa: So it’s a really full service and you’re the wedding planner. You just do everything for them. Lorraine: Yes. I do everything for everybody so they don’t have to worry about anything. It’s me that does the worrying. Nessa: That’s part of the service isn’t it? Lorraine: Yes, and I’m on 24 on call as well. Nessa: Thank you so much for joining us Lorraine, it’s really stunning and it’s making me want to get married.
