Get the Olive into the Glass Bar Trick

Challenge Number 8. How many ways can you get the olive into a glass? Male Speaker: Here we go again. What I want you to do is grab two brandy snifters and an olive. What you want to do, show me how many ways you can get this olive into this glass. But the only thing that you can touch is this glass. Show me how many ways you can get this olive into this glass. But the only thing that you can do , only thing you can touch is this glass. Think about it. I will be back. Here are some of the ways we came up with. Solution number 1. Alright. Answer Number 1. It's kind of sneaky. Little roll, pick it up. Here we go its number 1. Solution Number 2. Number 2. Very similar to Number1. What you do. If you have an edge here, so roll around and you can roll it off. Number two. I am going to get a point for that. Two points. Good, show me the other one. Solution Number 3. Not often you have an edge at the bar like we have actually have a roll to the edge and just throw it up, bunch it up against the side. Here we go. Number three or if you don't have the edge, when you have something else like a glass, something what you want to do this is just up against. It's a little bit weird. You can knock it over. I will give you that. That's three. Here we go. Very nice. Show me the another one. Solution Number 4. The large. Number four. Now this is where sneaky smart a people come especially if you are a bartender. They got this sort of munch this little bit and just get - net. There we go. I need to use that in the next martini. I will give you half point for that. Solution Number 5. Alright number five. Now it gets a little bit tricky. What you want to do here is going to play with this. See how many times it takes me get this one. I am actually trying to flick it. The first time I actually saw this. Somebody was doing at the bar at the rocksy here in Vancouver and the guy, his name is Elves, crazy guy. And I showed him it and I came back and it was done. Okay great, how do you do it. Oh well, I flipped it. I had never seen that before. And I said, no it didn't. He said, yeah I did, and really I did. Okay show me. Okay. So he was playing. He would go and flip and flip he would flip anyway just keep going and keep going. 20 minutes later still couldn't get it. He got so mad. He was red in the face. About a minute later after playing around with this. I said, okay I believe it. No, I can't get it. No, I believe. No, I can get it. Okay. And I had to back up. Then I had to let him go. 20 minutes of -- and he was so bad. So that's probably the one time that his charms didn't really work out in the favor but Anyway later on, I actually tried it and I saw some other people who did it. But yeah its just flick on actually lets try it again. That's the fun part of watching people just play around it Oh! out from the gallery. Leave that in next -- but sometimes if you want to give hints to people. Sometimes even if they are really good at it, they've done it, it takes a lot. So that was the win. Solution Number 6. Okay, now the last and the coolest one that I know is about to show you now. In my experience of all the literally thousand of times that I have done this, all over the world, I had three people get this pure. What I mean by pure is it, that I believe them, that nobody else had shown them or they've heard about it. There is another guy there who really didn't believe, one fourth guy that may be. So three and half times. Here is what it is, the coolest part. Turn upside down and by known, you can keep that going as long as you want. Love that one. Actually one of the person, they got this. His name is Max. Thirteen years old. Sometimes myself and our instructors, we go around the world and do sort of made million or big parties, we do performances. Some people in New York brought famous art to do this kid for -- 13 years old. His name is Max and he got it right off. Bang! Get out. Very good kid, very good Max.
