Nessa Wrafter: I’m here with Sue from Eye Tech. She’s going to give me a full set of eyelash extensions which are perfect for your wedding day. Hi Sue.
Sue Marsh: Hi, nice to meet you Nessa.
Nessa Wrafter: So tell us what’s available for brides to be?
Sue Marsh: Well I take off a variable styling eyelashes but for brides I think it needs to be a little bit more natural for the day and something that we can use to continue throughout the honeymoon.
So today what I’m going to do for your lashes is I’m going to extend them 30 percent in length and double the strength on the depth of your lashes. So, we’re going to give you lots of velocity, lots of texture and I know that additional length first so that it’s something that you can wear on the office and also on the low so you look like you’re permanently wearing mascara except that this also it does happen to the constantly natural and it still has the perfect point at the end of each eyelash giving a perfectly natural look for your wedding day.
Nessa Wrafter: Take me to your procedure.
Sue Marsh: Well initially, we’ll do a consultation which we have already done which gives me an exact times there for what would suit you. And today we’re going to apply the eyelashes onto your lid and later on to the lower lid reflecting a very natural look. I would like to make sure that we’ve done over any humps because that would look too fake and so what I’m going to do is just start with the upper lashes while your eyes are closed so it’s a very relaxing period of time that you would spend with me. So, I do expect you to fall asleep and relax and then wake up to an absolutely beautiful make-up.
Nessa Wrafter: How many lashes do you apply to each eye?
Sue Marsh: Between 80 and a 120 on the upper lids and between 20 and 30 on your lower lid.
Nessa Wrafter: Wow!
Sue Marsh: So you can get a full effect. It doesn’t look like that when you’re looking at one. It feels like it when we’re applying them but it certainly doesn’t look like it when they’re own. You just see the most amazing effect from the before and the after.
Nessa Wrafter: How long does it take to apply that many eyelashes?
Sue Marsh: It can take anything up to two ounce to apply depending on how many eyelashes you have to start with and we really do have to work with your foundation work so it does vary—but expect the maximum time in two hours.
Nessa Wrafter: Take me to the process of applying each lash.
Sue Marsh: Each single eyelash that we have is applied to each single eyelash that you have. Therefore, that gives you a little bit more of an idea and kind of how the process works. We use our eyelash weight to give the volume on your eyelashes and we use our eyelash length to get the lengths add lengths to wear an eyelash. That will give you the volume and lengths and strength at the same time. This builds up the velocity. And now I’m going to start the procedure—
So we can take a close short length to give the bride an idea of how it looks. Nessa, I’m just looking into the iris now and you have a lot of color reflection going on in your eyes. Most of it is green but there is a deep open around the people and I think that because we’re working with a bridal look. If I were to put green and black into the eyelashes it would reflect the green back into the eye and bring out the white of your eyes which will make your eyes that much brighter and much more an appealing.
