A lot of people know you can save money and energy, just by cleaning out your dryer lint. But how do you know that you're getting all of the lint? Well, keep watching.
So, let's pretend it's time to put all your clothes into the dryer. Normally, you would take the lint tray out, scoop out the lint, throw it away and you're done. Right? Well, normally, yes, you would be, but there are a few extra steps you can take to make sure you get all of the lint.
After your next load of laundry is dry, clean out the screen by just scooping off the lint here. From here, you're going to want to take the lint tray and put the scoop side down, hold it under the faucet and just rinse it all the way, all over it.
Next, you're just going to turn the screen back over and put some dishwashing liquid. Rub it on the inside, use an old toothbrush, and just scrub it a little bit just to clean it more thoroughly.
Next, just spray with water till all the soap's gone and rinse it one more time underneath the faucet. Pat it with a paper towel, put it back in your dryer and you're done.
Now, if you're still having trouble with your clothes coming out completely dry, then unplug your dryer, take off the back panel, vacuum around it, inside it, including the dryer tube. And that will save you tons of money and energy.
