Hi! This is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder and welcome to Part Two of our special butterscotch.com five part series on Yuuguu.
Now on this segment I wanted to take a brief look at the preferences that are available in Yuuguu. Now, when you go load, it puts an icon in the tray. If you right click on that icon, you’d be able to bring up the preferences. So, when the preferences come up, move them over here so you can see. First you have account, select your country, you can have it auto detect, seems to work pretty well. You can change your name if you wish and you can also change your password. I should note that you have to have a little account that’s very simple, name, email address. That’s pretty much it for Yuuguu.
If you click on the advance tab, you’re going to have your self logged in automatically, have fastest screen sharing. Start minimized, have sound and have emoticons, and any other things you don’t want, if you don’t emoticons just uncheck it. If you want it to run on startup, just click that now as far as external accounts this is kind of an interesting feature because if you have other instant messaging accounts, you can click add account. For example AIM, you can type in your user name and say add account, and then you’ll be able to talk on all of these other accounts.
So, if you have ICQ, MSN, AOL AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk, you can have all of them combined in Yuuguu. So, it’s kind of like Pidgin or Adium on the MAC. So, Yuuguu has a few preferences but they’re very handy and that concludes Part Two.
