Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Doctor File Finder and welcome to part one of our special Butterscotch.com five part series on Yuuguu.
Now Yuuguu is a client that lets you share your desktop, let you allow others to control your desktop. As you can see here it’s also a chat clients so you can talk back and fort with your friends and contacts. You can find contacts online using their email address put them in one of the time. You can also pull in contact out of your email or link with your instants messaging account with Yuuguu.
You can have audio and there are also phone calls available and that’s about the only thing that cost anything all of the rest of it the screen sharing, screen control, chat and everything else is absolutely free. So Yuuguu works extremely well, I've been very impressed with the performance has low impact on your system resources. So I'm going to be excited about doing this five parts series I hope you will be too and that includes part one.
Now in this segment where I can take a brief look at the preferences that are available on Yuuguu. Now when Yuuguu loads it puts an icon in the tray, if you right click on that icon you'll be able to bring up the preferences. So when the preferences come up move them over here so you can see. First, you have account, select your country you can have it auto detect, and it seems to work pretty well. You can change your name if you wish and you can also change your password.
I should have note that you have to have a little account that’s very simple name, email address that’s pretty much it for Yuuguu. If you click on the advance tab you can have yourself log in automatically. Have fastest screen sharing, start minimize, have sound and have a emote icons. And those things you don’t want, if you don’t want emote icons just uncheck it. If you want to run on start up just click there.
Now as far as external account this is kind of interesting feature because if you have other instant messaging accounts you can click add account, for example aim you can type in your user name and say add account and then you'll be able to talk on all of these other accounts, so if you have ICQ, MSN, AOL Aim, Yahoo, Google Talk you can have all of them combine in Yuuguu, so it’s kind of like Pigeon or Odium on the Mac.
So Yuuguu has a few preferences but they are very handy and that includes part two.
Now in this segment at Yuuguu I'm going to show you how you can share your screen or your friends can share their screens with you. So with my daughter Kadee on the other side I click on her name and you see I have chat, show or edit so I'm going to click show and show sharing your screen waiting for viewers to accept. Now if she's getting my first screen and now she's seen everything that’s on my desktop. And when you put it full screen it amazing you feel like you're right there at my desktop.
For this tutorial I won’t be able to her screen at full screen because of the resolution. So now when I'm done sharing I'll click end. And now in a moment she's going to click on my name on her side so that we’ll see a brief look at her screen. Oh, I have to click accept, I'll bring it over here, going to make it a little bigger because I know at stuff is on her screen to give you a best possible view. But again, when its full screen it’s very dynamic, its looks really impressive and you feel like you're sitting there right in front of it. Now what's even more impressive is that it’s free.
So this is how you can share your screen with your friends and let them see it and they can share their screen with you and that concludes part three.
Now in this segment I'm going to show you how I can lot a friend or family member to take control of my PC. So I'm going to click on my daughter Kadee and say show and now I'm going to let go of my mouse, as you can see here it comes up Kadee I can share or decline, I'll say share. So now I've let go of my mouse any moving that my mouse is doing is Kadee. So she is moving it down, rearranging the screen but she can basically do whatever she wanted. She's aware of the fact that we’re recording this.
So she's moved that so it was a very handy feature of Yuuguu that you can go in and request control of a friend’s computer and now the screen share has ended so I'll move Yuuguu backup using the mouse. So this is a great way that you can use Yuuguu to share you screen and not only to let them see what's going on but they able to take control or maybe show you what to do next and that concludes part four.
Now in this final portion I want to talk just a little bit about some of the extras, some of the other features in Yuuguu. One of them is web share and what this does is a place where people who are using Yuuguu can go and start topics about the product, talk about what's going on, talk about function that they like to see and one person here say I'd like to share a window but not the whole screen so it’s the place where you can interact with other Yuuguu users. Express your opinion and maybe gets some new features at it.
Another thing about Yuuguu is that it’s an instant massager can help you connect through all of your other instant messaging services, it offers low cost conference calling, it gives you online presence, you can do screen sharing, you can find you contacts, do the remote control desktop and for information and the pricing you can have unlimited instant messaging with Yuuguu and popular chat networks to share your screen with people on your list. Share your screen with people that in your list. The number of people you can share your list with in the flash version as 30.
It would make a great for doing like an online presentation, you can share control of your keyboard, do personal voice conferences and the full package for the flash version only $9.00 a month but you can have all these other things for absolutely free. So Yuuguu is an impressive program I've been quite impress, I have tried all of the other commercial desktop sharing programs and for free Yuuguu does a superior job.
So this is then a special series on Yuuguu and that concludes part five.
