Getting a Dog

Well, I am on my way to the DogsTrust Rescue Center in Evesham because I have heard they have got quite a few dogs there, that sounds like a few of which might be suitable for me and there are really good places to start to try and find yourself a new dog, rescue centers they have got loads of different dogs, something for everyone. But if you are after a pedigree dog particularly or a puppy then it's a good idea to get in contact with the Canal Club because they will know all the breeders in your area about to advise you of upcoming litters and how to get in touch with all the breeders. Your vet is also a good person to talk to because they will know if any litters are coming up in your specific area of and surgery and they also might will know of dogs who need new homes in your area as well. Things to avoid, particularly dogs that are been bought up from puppy farms because not only they have been a pretty miserable life before you go hold them, they also tend to be pretty unhealthy as well because of the bad start they have in life and the way it's spot is really is people who try and sell you puppies without letting you come to the home. So you really want to meet the parents of the puppy if at all possible. So meet the mother and see where they have been brought up and generally get a feel for the quality of the breed that you are dealing with. If someone tries to sell you a puppy, in a service station for example you should stay well cleared out because you know that that puppy is coming from somewhere pretty unscrupulous and the same goes with paper work, if the paper work doesn't match where you are buying the puppy from, so for example the vaccination if you could say one part of the country and you are buying it from another, you know pretty much that the dog has been shipped around that it has been traveled around and has probably come from a puppy farm. So the best place is to stick to reputable breeders and rescue centers like the DogsTrust were we are heading just now.
