Today, I am going to talk about getting rid of neck and upper back pain. Most of us have a lot of pain intension appear in our traps, in your neck area from work, from stress, from working out to hard, whatever maybe. I yet to meet somebody who does not ever have a lot of stress of not in this area and it can be a real downer for the day if you cannot turn your head when you have some soreness.
What I have in my hand right now is called a backnobber. They also sell different variations and this is called Thera Cane. I am going to provide some links in this log to show you exactly where to get this. But I recommend everybody has something like this. It is a great tool when use right can really help you get rid of a lot of pain and that is our game right now. We are trying to get rid of pain and increase function. You saw my videos in the form roller. This is just another form of a soft tissue work, but it is really good one. It is going to act just like a massage does. So, instead of somebody’s tamer, fingers in your back. You can do this yourself. You do not mean anybody else which is a real saver on time and money.
What you can see here this has two knobs, one here and one here. One of the knobs is bigger than the another. What you are going to do is you are just going to put up on your trap area which is that big thick muscle in the back of your down below your neck. You are going to find a nice source spot and believe everybody has it. There is one right now, I found one. And what we are going to do is drive down with the cane and we are going to pull up with the other hand and yes I can feet that. You feel a lot of pressure right there and we are just going to let it sit for a while. And what is that doing is helping relax the muscle and then we come back down.
An advance technique which I recommend once you get a hang of this is to pull right up here and just a slowly turn in your neck and stretch. And what you are doing is by putting pressure on the muscle and elongating your muscle at this time. You are forcing. It is a shutdown. You are forcing that knob to dissipate and go away. And what you are going to find is a lot more range of motion, a lot less pain. It really does feel like I am just had a mini massage.
You can do this on both sides, the same time. Find your spot. Usually people have one side and more tense in the other, that is normal. Bit, you can do the both sides. I found this one, pull up. I am going to turn my neck. You can tell about myself, it is a little bit—it does hurt a little bit and that is normal. But, the pay back in the end is the relief in the range of motion.
You can use this on all different parts in your body. I am going to come back on here later. I am going to show you a different ways to get rid of pain because that is the name of the game right now. Getting rid of pain and restoring function and there is other ways you can use this.
You saw my video on the phone roller. This is just another form of a soft tissue. A high recommend everybody has this.
